Pete Dunne Signs New Deal with WWE Ahead of NXT Title Match

There was word going around recently that Pete Dunne’s contract with WWE was coming up soon, but it looks like the Bruiserweight will be staying with the company for an extended period of time. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Dunne signed a three-year deal that was offered to him by Triple H, who’d been in charge of the NXT brand for quite some time.

It’s worth noting that Pete Dunne is scheduled to wrestle for the NXT Championship tonight in a fatal 4-way match that also includes Tommaso Ciampa, Kyle O’Reilly, and LA Knight. The match was originally billed as a number one contender match to find a challenger for Samoa Joe. Because Joe has relinquished the NXT Title reportedly due to injury, the match was turned into a championship fight instead.
