Full List of WWE Releases from November 4, 2021

Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux - NXT

Yesterday WWE made a mass release of wrestlers across its main and developmental rosters. This came as a shock to fans, and it essentially replicated the scenario we saw unfold back on August 6 which saw Bobby Fish, Bronson, Reed, Mercedes Martinez, and many others terminated by the company.

In this most recent set of releases, a total of 18 WWE Superstars were let go. These releases included:

  • Scarlett Bordeaux
  • Franky Monet
  • Ember Moon
  • Oney Lorcan
  • B-Fab
  • Jessi Kamea
  • Zayda Ramier
  • Trey Baxter
  • Katrina Cortez
  • Jeet Rama
  • Gran Metalik
  • Lince Dorado
  • Karrion Kross
  • Nia Jax
  • Keith Lee
  • Harry Smith
  • Mia Yim
  • Eva Marie

Per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinitis cited budget cuts as the reason for these releases. This news all came on the same day that WWE announced it had made $256 million in revenue for this quarter.

Previously, rumors circulated that cuts would be made based on vaccination status. Regarding these releases, however, it seems the reason being used is indeed budget cuts.

Some releases were very surprising, as wrestlers like Karrion Kross, Keith Lee, Mia Yim, Franky Monet, and Ember Moon were recently involved in somewhat significant angles or had a huge fan base. Not to mention, a lot of these releases involved wrestlers that were considered massive gets for WWE at the time of their signing.

It’s worth noting that this news comes shortly after Impact Wrestling removed multiple names from its own roster page.

It’s a shame to see folks lose their jobs. Here’s hoping those affected by these releases are able to bounce back and find work, whether it’s in other promotions or pursuing other projects.
