Taylor Wilde and Other Impact Stars Removed from Roster, Wilde Comments

Taylor Wilde

As noted via NoDQ.com, there were some changes made to the Impact Wrestling roster page. Taylor Wilde, Petey Williams, TJP, Tommy Dreamer, and No Way were all removed from the page. Interestingly, PWInsider released a statement explaining that Impact Wrestling sources were claiming that no talent had officially been released, which is something to keep in mind as it relates to the aforementioned wrestlers’ removals.

Whether or not anything has been made official, Taylor Wilde took to Twitter to address the news, saying, “Hey Wilde Ones! Everyone’s path is unique. Sometimes you need to take pause to grow. For those asking, thank you for your love. My answer is a big resounding ‘NO, I am not done.’ Not even close. Be patient. Good things come to those who wait.”

Taylor Wilde’s first run with Impact Wrestling lasted from 2008 to 2010. She retired from in-ring competition in 2011 but returned in 2021, reemerging at Impact’s Rebellion pay-per-view in April. Since then, she’d been a part of some storylines, mainly with Tenille Dashwood. Time will tell what’s next for Wilde, whether she continues with Impact at some point, appears in different promotions, or pursues different projects altogether.

The other wrestlers removed from Impact’s roster page are also interesting. Petey Williams, for example, has been a staple of the company’s X Division and has been in some great matches the past several months. Per NoDQ.com, Williams recently had a tryout with WWE to potentially fill a producer role with the company.

TJP, who’s been wrestling in NJPW, MLW, and CMLL, was also in some noteworthy matches during his most recent run with Impact, and he was putting on fun tag team bouts with Fallah Bahh, who later went on to team up with No Way, formerly No Way Jose in WWE.

Speaking of No Way, he debuted for Impact Wrestling at Slammiversary in July earlier this year and had a few subsequent matches. The crowd seemed to get behind No Way, so his potential departure is certainly a bit odd.

ECW Original Tommy Dreamer had been a part of Impact’s creative team backstage during his most recent period with the company. Dreamer was suspended in September following comments made where he defended Ric Flair in an episode of Dark Side of the Ring that saw sexual abuse allegations brought forth against Flair.

We’ll keep a lookout to see what updates, if any, are made regarding these wrestlers’ removal from Impact’s roster.
